A magnitude 4.8 earthquake hits the town of Romblon

COMMENT:

An earthquake is a natural tragedy that no one can foresee or prevent. As a result, the harm it causes is serious and devastating each time it occurs. An earthquake could destroy infrastructure, agricultural land, and people. Because this earthquake has a long-term economic impact, it is usually necessary to rebuild infrastructure, transportation networks, and people's homes. This is cost-consuming, as reconstruction usually demands huge investments in the damaged area resulting in a decreased performance of economic development of the identified areas affected by the earthquake.
