Tuklas 2023: Student Leadership Training

College of Arts and Sciences on Thursday, May 18 successfully wrapped Tuklas 2023: Student Leadership Training at CSPC Gymnasium. 

With the theme “Discovering the personal leadership potential”, student training enhances their leadership skills and helps them discover their leadership potential. Over 250 students participated in the said event and attentively listened to event guest speaker Hon. Angelica Paula “Gigi” Peña Vargas one of the excellent city councilors of Iriga City that inspired thousands of youth with her leadership skills and her eagerness to help her community, during her speech she tackled “Approaches to Leadership” which students learned a lot from.

            For the afternoon session, CAS-CSC prepared a lot of fun activities, participants were divided into 13 groups (Team Gold, Orange, Gray, Dark Blue, Light Blue, Violet, Yellow, Pink, White, Brown, Red, Black, and Green) all team was challenged to finish the amazing race consisting of five team-building activities showcasing the students physical and cognitive ability to win the game. Another fun activity that brought laughter to the whole gymnasium was the CAS got talent showcasing the various talents of every team. Team light yellow won first place in the amazing race meanwhile in CAS got talent team red took the first place spot, and all the winners received trophies and certificates.

            At the last part of the event, everyone gathered for the bonfire experience and it highlighted CAS Governor Krizel N. Sirios that had her emotional farewell speech for her abdicated near the end term for Governor position.
