Gal Gadot is the earliest casting choice for the iconic doll role in “Barbie” movie

Israeli actress Gal Gadot was Margot Robbie's first option to play the iconic Barbie role in the movie Buzz “Barbie”. 

In an interview with Vogue that was published this week, Margot Robie said that her first option for Barbie role casting is Gal Gadot due to her "Barbie energy" vibe but unfortunately, the actress was not available for the role. However, even though she wasn't available, the Israeli actress ended up acting as a sort of casting guide for Robbie and Greta Gerwig, who co-wrote and directed "Barbie." 

She said in the interview, 

“Gal Gadot is Barbie energy,” Robbie said. “Because Gal Gadot is so impossibly beautiful, but you don’t hate her for being that beautiful because she’s so genuinely sincere, and she’s so enthusiastically kind, that it’s almost dorky. It’s like right before being a dork.”

The genuineness that Gadot brought to her role as Diana Prince, a.k.a. Wonder Woman also inspires Robbie's interpretation of Barbie. Sorting that dolls should not be sexy, but should be fun and pink to project sex onto them. 

Meanwhile, the movie will tell the story of Barbie on her journey as America's most iconic doll that leaves her sheltered life in "Barbie Land" behind and steps into the real world for the first time.

Singapore's Prime Minister has recovered from COVID-19

News  Singapore's Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong tested negative for COVID-19 and has now recovered seven days after testing positive for COVID-19 for the first time.  On May 22, Mr. Lee tested positive for COVID-19 following state visits to South Africa and Kenya.  And on Sunday,  Mr. Lee posted on Facebook that he is now COVID-19 negative and will return to work on Monday.  "I am now COVID-19 negative and will be back to work on Monday.
