Airstrike attack on a Myanmar village this week killed a total of 165 individuals including civilians and children.
Considered one of the deadliest attacks since the military coup in 2021. On Thursday, April 11, Myanmar’s air force dropped multiple bombs on a village ceremony in Sagaing region, particularly in Pazigyi village, where hundreds of locals gathered for the opening of a local administration office. The new town office was being opened under the authority of the shadow National Unity Government (NGU), for the people as part of anti-junta resistance or a ceremony held by anti-coup groups in Myanmar. But the supposedly village ceremony turned to chaos and tragedy after a military airstrike attack at least 165 people were killed, including civilians and children.

The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), which is currently chaired by Indonesia, issued a statement last Thursday, April 13, condemning the recent airstrike and stating that "all forms of violence must end immediately, particularly the use of force against civilians. Meanwhile, videos and images from the aftermath of the airstrike circulated online, showing multiple dead and burned bodies, including destroyed buildings and houses.
