Holy Month of Ramadan 2023

          Amid the Muslims preparation for the Holy month of Ramadan this year, strike of higher prices for goods caused difficulty for them to prepare the said occasion.

    Ramadan officially started last Wednesday of March 22 and will continue until April 20 this year, as this occasion is important to Muslims worldwide as a month of fasting, prayer, reflection and community for them. Efforts by preparing food are being put in this occasion but due to higher prices of foods Muslims are struggling. It said that the cause of foods higher prices is actually happening during the celebration of Ramadan and additionally according to WION (World is One News) reports last Thursday, March 23 the reason behind the soaring prices was due to the effects of up until now ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine, abide the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and due to climate change around the world that affect food supply and global economy.  On the other hand, Muslims expressed their worries in this situation and many of them hope that the current prices of goods will back to its normal price just like before and in response to this local market vendors explained that their business are not doing well also and the fact that all good literally soared its prices nowadays causing for them to have lower incomes and expressing that the reason behind with all of this are the economic conditions of the country which is not in good state.
